Led by Alli Herrington, '5 Star Citizen' builds off ideas originally developed by EquippingKids (UK).
5 Star Citizen is an innovative and creative idea, which explores the potential children have to make a difference in their own communities. This program seeks to equip, encourage and recognize children’s contributions to the community they are part of. This program will actively promote the skills to get children to be part of making the needed change they recognize in their own community!
This program equips children to:
· RECOGNIZE issues facing their community
· REFLECT on their skills to make a difference
· RESPOND by taking the lead in creating change
